Tamara Hull, CPA
Tamara joined the Delahunty firm in 2015 as a tax manager and became a shareholder in January 2018. Tamara began her accounting career at California Pacific Insurance Services while still in high school, after taking an accounting class in high school. Tamara worked in the accounting departments of several small businesses before deciding that she was going to make accounting her career and pursue a college degree, instead of trying to make a living as a professional racecar driver.
Tamara joined her first public accounting firm, Richard E. Smith & Co. CPAs, in 1990, while in college. After she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Smith required her to work at a “Big 6” accounting firm for the experience. Tamara joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1992 and quickly learned that she preferred the smaller CPA firm. She left Coopers & Lybrand in 1993 and returned to Richard E. Smith & Co. CPAs, staying until Mr. Smith retired in 1999 and sold his firm to Bregante + Co. Tamara stayed with Bregante + Co. for a year to ensure that Mr. Smith received his full compensation from the sale and then started her own firm, Tamara Hull Consulting in 2000. Tamara subsequently formed Hull, Eisenbarth & Associates with her sister, Lara Eisenbarth, in 2007.
From 2000 to joining our firm, Tamara provided tax and accounting services to her own clients and for several CPAs and their clients, focused on all types of tax returns – income tax, payroll, estate, profit sharing, business property tax, sales tax, accounting, financial audits, financial statements, tax audits (IRS, FTB, BOE, other states, Department of Labor), with specialties in litigation support, IRC 1031 exchanges, non-profit organizations, and sadly a few embezzlements. In addition, Tamara has served, and continues to serve, on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the local, political and car racing communities.
